Jacqueline Sheridan

May I taste

The luminous vision

That seeks me

Which is to say

May I stand still And open my mouth

The sanctity of my senses To risk an undefended Emptiness Trust both the Hand That gifts me And my worthiness to To simply receive May the flavour Of this ambrosia Alight with the clouds

And the sun On my tongue A playful exploration

Of wild sensation A holy alchemy Of all my favourite things The chaos of possibility Arriving in sweet harmony An ecstasy of Beauty I'd not dared to dream May I taste The luminous vision That seeks me Which is to say May I stand still And open my mouth
