Hang down around my door
A delicate adornment
An elegant decoration
As if in celebration
Or preparation for

I imagine a priestess
An earthen goddess
Stepping out to discover
The waiting world poised
To welcome her, escort her
Down the path of this holy day
Like every other holy day
Perhaps she is me.
